Frequently Asked Questions
GENERAL

Just let us know as soon as possible, and we’ll try to work with you to find another time. Please review our Practice Policies to avoid any late cancellation fees.

Many clients are unsure of how much they should tip their massage therapist. We suggest thinking of it like tipping a waiter at a restaurant. Our therapists are passionate about their work, and your tip shows your appreciation for their service. We recommend an 18-22% tip based on the full price of the massage. You can easily add it to your credit card payment or give it directly to your therapists through their personal Venmo accounts or with cash. Thank you for supporting your practitioners!

MASSAGE GUIDELINES
-
You may undress to your level of comfort. Many people prefer to keep their underwear on during a massage, while others choose to be nude. This is completely up to you. You will get undressed in the privacy of your massage room and will be covered by a blanket and a sheet during your massage session, except for the area being massaged. If you need extensive work on your hips or groin, we may ask you to keep your underwear on.
-
For Thai yoga sessions bring or wear loose or stretchy pants and a shirt. If you forget or don’t have something appropriate, Thai pants are available for your convenience! All other sessions will be done with traditional draping and specific clothing is not required.
-
Massage is generally considered safe for expecting mothers during their second and third trimesters. Please inform your therapist if you’re pregnant, even if you’re not showing yet, so they can adjust techniques, target areas, and positioning on the table to suit your needs.
-
If you're feeling unwell, have a fever, or are dealing with an active injury, it's best to wait until you're fully recovered. However, after recovering from a cold, massage can help you regain your energy. We do not offer massage during the first trimester of pregnancy. If you are undergoing chemotherapy, please wait 72 hours after your treatment before coming in for a session. If you have a serious medical condition, it's a good idea to consult with your primary care provider before booking to ensure it’s safe for you.
-
Whatever feels natural for you, whether that means quiet reflection or a little conversation. Massage is meant for you to relax both your mind and body, so there's no need to feel obligated to talk with your therapist. However, if you’re experiencing thoughts or emotions and wish to share, you’re always welcome to express yourself.
Whether you prefer silence or conversation, be sure to let your therapist know if you need any adjustments to temperature, pressure, music, or a bathroom break. This ensures that you have the best experience possible.
-
No problem at all! Just let us know, and we’ll pause your session while you take care of your needs.
-
That’s a compliment! It means you’re truly relaxed, which is exactly our goal.
-
While there may be some discomfort when tight or tense muscles are massaged, it should be minimal with a primary focus on relaxation. If you experience persistent pain or discomfort, let your therapist know so they can adjust the pressure. Also, sharing any injuries can help avoid unnecessary discomfort during and after your massage.
-
While we ask our clients to be mindful of cleanliness and hygiene, there’s no need to worry about shaving your legs. Just arrive comfortably.
MOBILE & LARGE GROUPS
-
For large groups, please submit an inquiry with your requested date, the number of sessions, session lengths, and preferred modalities. Once we receive your details, we’ll let you know how many therapists/practitioners are available and provide a link for easy online booking. A 50% deposit is required to schedule and reserve your therapists.
-
We'll provide everything—music, linens, and oils—to create a professional, spa-like atmosphere. All we need is a quiet space in your home for the massage table or Thai mat. A 9x10’ area works well for a table, and a 9x12’ space is ideal for a Thai mat. Please also ensure the room temperature is set at 74°F or warmer. It's always better to be a little too warm than too cold!
Outdoor sessions at your accommodations are possible provided there is shade from the sun and the temperature is agreeable (between 65-85 degrees generally feels good for both guests and therapists). Please let us know in advance if this is your intent! -
If you’re unable to start on time, your session will be shortened to fit the remaining time. We will arrive at the scheduled appointment time, with 15 minutes allocated for setup and 5-10 minutes between sessions. Group member punctuality is very important to us.
-
For groups, we request a single payment method for the entire group. We accept cash, Venmo, and credit cards, including Visa, Discover, Mastercard, and American Express.
